The Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is the local arm of WBENC. With the certification, Ekaru will be listed in a national database of certified Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) called WBENCLink ([www.wbenclink.org](http://www.wbenclink.org)), which is accessible to major corporations. In addition to inclusion in the internet database, WBENC also provides its corporate members and certified WBEs with benchmarking surveys, on-site training and educational materials. WBENC is a resource for the more than 700 US companies and government agencies that rely on the WBENC certification as an integral part of their supplier diversity programs. “WBENC is a well known and thoroughly professional organization,” said Ann Westerheim, CEO of Ekaru. “We are very happy to be a part of this prestigious group and look forward to an ongoing partnership of learning and knowledge sharing.” WBENC's research projects and surveys, primarily of CEOs and corporate procurement decision-makers, help to identify impediments to doing business and suggest "best practices" to maximize WBE opportunities and expand and enhance supplier diversity programs. The "Balanced Scorecard for WBE Program Process Improvement" assists WBENC corporate members in self evaluating their WBE programs. “On behalf of the Center for Women and Enterprise, we welcome Ekaru and look forward to its participation in the Council,” said Donna Mullen Good, CEO, CWE. “In particular the local Women’s Enterprise Leadership Forum offers the opportunity to collaborate with other women’s organizations to pool power and build a broader power base for positive change in the business community.” **About Ekaru, LLC** Headquartered in Westford, Massachusetts, Ekaru, Inc. provides strategic, hands-on technology services for small business and mid-sized businesses.
