Brian Brackett - Help Desk Technician- bbrackett@ekaru.com

Brian is responsible for phone and remote help desk support and ensuring excellent customer support for Ekaru. Brian came to us with over 20 years’ experience providing systems support experience to various types of industries from home pc users to medical offices and large manufacturing facilities. Brian has worked for Gartner Group, Sitara Networks, Celestica, McKesson IS/IT, GE Sensing and HP Financial Services.

Brian started out working for a couple of small computer service and resellers in Tewksbury and North Reading called Omnitek Computers and NetworX Computer services working with Commodore Business Computers and IBM XT/AT Personal Computer for multiple medium to large companies and local schools around the area like Freudenberg Non-Wovens, XY Logics and Georgetown High School.

While at Garnter Group Brian worked with a very sharp and small team to help facilitate company moves and integrations into the Lowell Office of Gartner to what is now known as Gartner these included J3 Learning, Relational Courseware, Data Quest, Gartner Learning, Gartner Consulting and Gartner Health Care.

Before Brian officially worked for Sitara Networks he helped build the Alpha and Beta QOS Boxes that the development team used to test and build their break-through QOS software which has since become Converged Access.

When Brian was walking around the 350,000+ square feet of the Celestica Manufacturing Facility in Salem, NH he helped support over 300 systems. Not-Included in what he supported was a PC used to control some manufacturing equipment in which he identified the need to back up those systems. In fact about a month later a critical AOI "Automated Optical Imaging" system hard drive failed that wasn't under a service agreement. Solution ?: Before Brian joined Celestica's ONLY solution was to pay the AOI System company $500+ per hour to come in on an emergency basis and repair the system. With the permission of his supervisor about a month earlier Brian had built an Imaging server from Scraps from the Server team and had an image of the AOI's hard drive!!  In about an hour Brian replaced the hard drive and restore the specialized operating system from a backup image and had the system back up and running again saving the company potentially thousands of dollars.

"It's what I do, and probably what I was meant to do."

In his spare time Brian helps friends and neighbors with their computer problems. Brian also enjoys writing music, repairing boats and working on his model trains and radio controlled cars, planes and helicopters.
